NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two teen girls were shot and wounded outside of a McDonald’s in Coney Island on Tuesday evening.
A fight between two groups of teens erupted inside the restaurant at 1403 Mermaid Ave. before gunfire broke out around 4:30 p.m., police said.
A 16-year-old girl was shot in the upper right leg, and a 14-year-old girl was shot in the left foot, according to police.
They were both transported to NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn in stable condition.
Police were searching for a male suspect who fled towards Surf Avenue.
The restaurant still closed Tuesday night as the investigation continued.
