NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Muay Thai coach used his skills to stop a would-be kidnapper in Manhattan last week, officials said Monday.
According to authorities, 33-year-old Brian Kemsley, saw a man trying to grab a baby inside a stroller from a woman who was also holding another child in her arms in Madison Square Park last Monday.
Kemsely managed to pin down the assailant for 15 minutes until authorities were able to respond to the scene.
Police were called around 3:35 p.m. over a report of an emotionally disturbed person, who was taken into custody and then to Bellevue hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
The incident was captured on cellphone and shows Kemsley tackling the man and holding him on the ground.
Kemsley then realized that the man was unwell, and at one point the video shows he appeared to think he was speaking to President Barack Obama in the Oval Office.
