Group of teens beat, slash face of man, 48, on UWS subway train: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for four teens after a 48-year-old man was beaten and slashed across the face on an Upper West Side subway train this week.

The victim was aboard a northbound B train between the 86th Street and 110th Street stations around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday when the teens got into an argument with him.

During the dispute, the group punched the victim in his face and arms, police said. They then slashed him across the forehead with a sharp object.

The four suspects fled the train at the 110th Street station, according to police. They're believed to be between 16 and 17 years old.

The victim was transported by private means to a BronxCare Health System facility, where he was treated and released.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
