Guard punched in face in AT&T robbery on LES: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A security guard was punched in the face during a robbery at a Lower East Side AT&T store, police said Wednesday as they released images of the masked suspects.

According to police, the two men entered the store on 144 Delancey St. on Sept. 30 around 10:30 a.m. and once inside they removed two cellphones from a display stand.

While trying to flee the store, one of the suspects slugged the 40-year-old victim in the face and exited eastbound on Delancey Street toward Suffolk Street.

The guard sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene by EMS.
