Gun held to woman’s head in UWS subway station robbery

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD on Thursday released surveillance footage of a man accused of holding a gun to a woman’s head in a subway station robbery on the Upper West Side Wednesday.

At approximately 11:18 a.m. a 57-year-old woman was inside the 86th Street station when the suspect approached her from behind, officials said.

The suspect grabbed the victim and allegedly placed a black firearm to her head while demanding her property.

He then fled the station and was last seen traveling westbound on West 88th Street on a maroon bicycle, police said.

No injuries were reported as a result of the robbery.
