NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police arrested a gunman for fatally shooting of a man during a dispute over a parking spot in the Bronx over the weekend.

Lavar Davis, 46, was charged with murder, authorities said.

Just before 2 a.m. police responded to a 911 call of a person shot at 1735 Fowler Ave. in Morris Park.

Upon arrival, officers observed 49-year-old Trevor Hughes with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

EMS transported Hughes to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi where he was pronounced dead.

The shooting happened after David, who had been partying at a nearby nightclub returned to his car which was parked illegally outside of Hughes' home, according to the Daily News.
