VIDEO: Gunman seen opening fire outside of car on Lower East Side sought by NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a gunman captured on video firing his gun and striking a man on the Lower East Side last week.

The shooting occurred at 11:43 p.m. on November 27, in front of 280 Henry Street, authorities said.

The video shows the suspect as he steps out of the passenger seat of a light-color Nissan Altima and discharged a handgun multiple times.

The victim, a 32-year-old man, was struck in his left ankle, police said.

The driver of the Nissan fled the scene while the gunman fled on foot.

The victim was transported via private means to New York Downtown Hospital in stable condition, officials said.
