NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police are investigating after a 17-year-old boy was shot inside an Inwood apartment building early Saturday morning.
The teen was shot inside a stairwell leading to the roof at 128 Sherman Ave., near Academy Street, just before 2:30 a.m.
The victim was struck multiple times in the face, chest and shoulder, police said. He was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition.
It was not yet clear what led up to the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing.
