Gunman sought in 2 deli robberies in the Rockaways

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD on Wednesday released a photo of a gunman wanted in a pair of deli robberies in Rockaway Beach last month.

The first incident occurred at about 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, inside of a deli located at 97-06 Rockaway Beach Blvd. when the suspect pointed a firearm at a 55-year-old store clerk and took approximately $400 dollars before fleeing the location on foot to parts unknown.

The second incident happened just before 11 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 18, inside a deli located at 224 Beach 98th St. According to police, the suspect pointed a firearm at the 41-year-old store clerk and stole about $200 and the victim's phone.

The suspect then fled on foot northbound on Beach 98th Street.

There were no reported injuries as a result of either incident.
