NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Temps will surge well into the 90s starting Friday, with a hot and humid first weekend of June in the forecast for NYC.
Highs will hit about 92 degrees in the city Friday, and 93 on Saturday, according to AccuWeather. RealFeels will approach 100.
An Air Quality Alert was issued for much of the Tri-State, including all five boroughs, until Friday night.

It will otherwise be partly sunny and increasingly humid heading into the weekend. A thunderstorm is likely Saturday night.
The humidity will dip by Sunday as highs drop to the upper 80s. Another storm may pop up in the afternoon.
It will feel very much like June next week, with lots of sun and 80-degree temps.
