
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — The Eagles have postponed their Sunday concert at Madison Square Garden over safety concerns as Hurricane Henri bears down on the region.
With New York City under a State of Emergency, the concert has been rescheduled to Wednesday, Aug. 25, according to MSG’s website.
“Due to the state of emergency that has been declared for New York City as a result of impending severe weather conditions, please be advised the Eagles performance scheduled to take place tomorrow, Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Madison Square Garden has been postponed to Wednesday, August 25, 2021,” the website reads.
All tickets for Sunday’s show will be valid for the new date.
New York City is under a Tropical Storm Watch with the Category 1 hurricane expected to make landfall on Suffolk County’s east end early Sunday morning.
The storm is currently carrying 80-mph winds and gusts tipping 100 mph, with officials and utility companies warning of potentially severe damage for portions of the tri-state area.
