NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A thief jumped in a Jeep carrying $500,000 in medical supplies and drove off in Manhattan on Saturday evening, police said.
The owner of the Jeep Compass had left the vehicle parked outside a townhouse on E. 38th Street in Murray Hill, police sources told the Daily News.
The keys were still in the ignition around 6:15 p.m. when someone got in the Jeep and drove away, the sources said.
The vehicle contained $500,000 in surgical equipment, which the owner was delivering in the area at the time, according to the report.
The vehicle hadn't been located as of Saturday night.
