NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Manhattan judge sided with Judith Giuliani, Rudy Giuliani’s ex-wife, in a dispute over divorce settlement payments on Friday after the former mayor failed to show up.

The judge threatened to have Giuliani arrested if he didn’t pay $225,000 in missing settlement payments and an additional $10,000 for lawyer fees.

Giuliani, 78, told the New York Post on Saturday that he was never notified about the court date.

“I never got a notice,” he said. “I didn’t know about it... I have never missed a court date. I am a pretty busy guy — one of the busiest in the United States — and I have never missed a court date.”

The former mayor and Donald Trump attorney admitted to owing his ex-wife money as part of their 2019 divorce settlement at the last hearing, but claimed the amount was exaggerated.

Friday’s trial was meant to determine the amount owed.
