NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials are searching for a knife-wielding man who is sought in connection with a robbery that happened inside of a Bronx pharmacy last week.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 15, inside of a Walgreens located at 925 Soundview Avenue in the Soundview neighborhood.
According to police, the suspect entered the pharmacy, grabbed two cases of Modelo beer, and when he attempted to leave the establishment without paying for the items, he was approached by a 30-year-old store employee who directed him to return the items.
Upon being confronted, the suspect displayed a knife, threatened the store security guard, and proceeded to leave the store, fleeing northbound from the location, on a bicycle, towards Bruckner Boulevard, officials said.
The victim was not injured as a result of the incident.
Police released a photo of the suspect Monday morning attained from the incident location.
