NYPD hunts for known man accused of raping woman in her East Harlem home

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A man accused of forcing his way into a woman’s East Harlem residence and raping her has been identified, and police released his name and photo on Wednesday evening to help in their search for the suspect.

Taylor Quamae, 32, is wanted in connection to the incident that occurred at about 4:30 a.m. on Sunday.

According to police, Quamae allegedly forced his way into the 34-year-old victims’ home and forced her to engage in sexual intercourse with him.

The suspect then fled in an unknown direction, police said.

He is described as 5’8” tall with a medium build, black hair and facial hair. Police said he was last seen wearing a white dress shirt, blue jeans and brown boots.
