NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 61-year-old man driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with a female passenger crashed into a pole supporting the elevated train tracks in Kings Park in Suffolk County on Thursday, police said.
Police responded to a 911 call around 9 p.m. near 59 Woodvale Avenue. A man driving a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle with a 57-year-old woman passenger who was traveling northbound on Woodvale Avenue lost control for unknown reasons and crashed, police said.
There were no other vehicles involved.
EMS took the driver in critical condition and the woman in stable condition to the Staten Island University Hospital North.
The accident is being investigated by the NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad.
