VIDEO: Sleeping man carjacked at gunpoint in Queens

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for two armed suspects who carjacked a man sleeping in the back of a vehicle in Queens on Monday, authorities said.

At approximately 6 a.m., a 50-year-old man parked a white 2018 Nissan Rogue in a parking lot at 60th Street and Metropolitan Avenue in Ridgewood.

The man exited the vehicle and left it running with a 22-year-old man sleeping in the rear of the vehicle.

Shortly after, two suspects approached the vehicle and proceeded to enter it.

One suspect displayed a firearm at the 22-year-old man and demanded that he exit the vehicle.

The 22-year-old complied, and the suspects proceeded to flee the location in the vehicle in an unknown direction.

No injuries have been reported in this incident.

The vehicle—with Connecticut plates BD61700—has not been recovered and is being sought by officials.
