NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A Bronx man was killed during a drive-by shooting on Friday night, police said Saturday.

Buriama Silla, 23, was in the rear of a building on Teller Avenue, near East 166th Street in Morrisania, just after 11:30 p.m. when a suspect driving a black SUV shot him in the torso.

The motorist fled, and Silla managed to get himself to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. Police responded to the hospital after receiving a walk-in report.

Silla, who lived about four miles away from the shooting site in University Heights, was pronounced dead by hospital staff.

A motive for the shooting was not immediately clear.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
