Man, 23, shot and killed outside Brooklyn brownstone

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 23-year-old man was found gunned down in front of a Brooklyn brownstone early Sunday morning, and police are searching for the shooting.

Police responded to reports of shots fired at 289 President St. in Carroll Gardens at about 2:48 a.m. and discovered Jordan Dillard with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.

EMS transported Dillard to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries.

Dillard lived in Red Hood, about a mile away from where he was killed.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

The 76th Precinct—which serves south Brooklyn neighborhoods including Carroll Gardens, Red Hook, Cobble Hill, parts of Gowanus and the Columbia Street Waterfront District—saw no murders in 2024. Dillard’s marks the first killing in the area in 2025, according to NYPD data.
