NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — The NYPD is investigating after a man was found fatally shot in the head at a Bronx intersection on Wednesday evening.
At approximately 6:32 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call of a person shot at the intersection of East 187 St. and Beaumont Ave. in Belmont, officials said.
Upon arrival, officers observed 30-year-old Jeffrey Lopez with a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS transported Lopez to Saint Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made and an investigation remains ongoing.
