NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD said it's investigating the fatal shooting of a 31-year-old man in Brooklyn on Tuesday morning.
According to police, officers responded to a 911 call at around 11:45 a.m. of a man being shot at the intersection of East New York Avenue and Powell Street in Brownsville.
Cops said the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.
EMS transported him to Interfaith Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
The victim's name is being withheld pending family notificiation.
