Man, 32, hurt in broad daylight Bronx attempted carjacking: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is on the lookout for two would-be carjackers who tried to steal a 32-year-old man's car in front of a Bronx car wash late last month, injuring him.

According to police, the victim exited his car after parking it in front of the Hand Car Wash & Detail Center at 4010 Bronxwood Ave. on March 29 at around 11:15 a.m.

The victim was approached by two suspects who attempted to grab his car keys out of his hand. A struggle ensued between one of the individuals and the victim, resulting in the victim sustaining a minor injury to his right hand.

However, his keys were not successfully removed, and the individuals fled in an unknown direction.

The victim did not require medical attention on scene with regard to his injury.

Police released a photo of the suspect who injured the victim.
