NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A man was struck by a subway train in Upper Manhattan on Friday, police said.
The man, 39, was hit by a 1 train just after 8 a.m. at the 157th Street station in Washington Heights.
He was walking in the subway tunnel when a downtown train sideswiped him, police said.
It's unclear if he was on the tracks or at the end of the platform at the time. He is believed to be homeless, according to police.
He was transported to Mount Sinai Morningside, but his condition wasn't immediately known.
