NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Officials are investigating after a man was fatally shot in Brooklyn on Monday evening, authorities said.
It happened at around 6:35 p.m. when police responded to a 911 call of a man shot in front of 275 Blake Avenue in Brownsville.

Upon arrival, officers discovered 56-year-old James Huff, with gunshot wounds to his chest.
EMS transported Huff to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
There are no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.
