NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are investigating a Tuesday morning shooting in the Bronx that left a 59-year-old man hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the back.
Authorities were called to the shooting which occurred just before 9 a.m. outside a residential building at 4314 Boyd Ave. in Wakefield.
Upon arrival, responding officers found the 59-year-old victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to his back. EMS transported him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he is expected to recover from his injuries.
Officials are looking into whether the shooting stemmed from an escalating dispute between neighbors, sources said.
No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
