NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A 61-year-old man was stabbed on a 4 train in the Bronx on Friday afternoon, the NYPD said.

The victim was aboard a downtown 4 train at the 167th Street subway station in the Bronx just after 3 p.m. when he was stabbed once in the abdomen, police said.

Officials said that he was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.

The circumstances surrounding the stabbing were not immediately clear.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
