NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 62-year-old man was killed and a woman was wounded in separate shootings a few blocks apart in Brooklyn on Saturday night.
Daniel Romulus was shot inside his apartment building on E. 17th Street, at Newkirk Avenue, in Flatbush around 7:30 p.m., according to police.
Officers responding to a 911 call found Romulus with a gunshot wound to his chest.
Citizen App video shows an ambulance and police cars at the intersection around 8 p.m.
Romulus was rushed to Kings County hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said no arrests have been made in the shooting.
Two hours earlier, around 5 p.m., a woman was shot blocks away inside an apartment building at Ocean Avenue and Glenwood Road, a law enforcement source told the Daily News.
The woman was shot in the face by someone who fired through an apartment door, according to the source.
The woman was taken in stable condition to Kings County Hospital.
The suspect reportedly ran off after the shooting. No arrests had been reported.
