NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle in a hit-and-run that killed a 72-year-old man in the Bronx Tuesday evening.
The fatal hit-and-run happened around 5:40 p.m. as the victim was crossing East 211th Street, near Paulding Avenue, officials said.
According to police, a white four-door sedan making a left turn struck the man and sped off.
A second car then ran the man over as well, officials said.
The victim was found laying in the road with visible injuries by responding officers.
He was later identified as Sidney Sele. He lived about a block away from the incident.
EMS rushed Sele to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of a second car remained at the scene, authorities said.
An investigation is ongoing.
