Man, 75, rescued after jumping from SI Ferry; in stable condition: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 75-year-old man was rescued after he jumped from the Staten Island Ferry on Monday afternoon, police said.

The NYPD Patrol Boat Launch 701 was on patrol when they saw the man in the water, according to an NYPD Special Operations tweet.

"They pulled the male onto the boat [and] transported him to land," the department added.

Cops said the man was taken to Lutheran Hospital in stable condition.

Authorities did not release any additional details about the case.
