NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – An 84-year-old man was violently attacked in an unprovoked assault on the Upper East Side Thursday, according to police.
The attack happened at around 3:50 p.m., near 570 Park Avenue. An unidentified man approached the victim and hit him on the right side of his head and shoulder without provocation, police said.
The suspect then fled westbound on East 63rd Street toward Madison Avenue.
The victim declined medical attention at the scene.
