94-year-old man punched in unprovoked attack inside UES Apple store

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released surveillance footage Thursday of a man accused of punching a 94-year-old man in an unprovoked attack inside the Apple store on the Upper East Side earlier this week.

It happened at about 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5, inside of 940 Madison Ave., authorities said.

According to officials, the victim was approached by the suspect who proceeded to punch him in the face, causing him to fall to the ground.

The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment on scene.

The attacker fled the location on foot, traveling northbound on Madison Avenue to parts unknown. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue pants and tan shoes.
