Man accused of shooting at NYPD transit officers in Harlem arrested: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Officials arrested a man Sunday night accused of firing several shots at NYPD transit officers in Harlem.

According to police, at around 9:45 p.m., transit officers spotted the 43-year-old suspected shooter firing at another individual near the corner of West 125th Street and Lenox Avenue.


The officers then chased the gunman on foot when he allegedly fired several rounds toward the officers, authorities said.

Officials caught up to the man in the vicinity of West 128th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard where he was taken into custody, police said.

No one was injured in the shooting, the NYPD said.
