NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Police are looking for a man accused of trying to rob two Manhattan banks in under an hour, only to come up empty-handed.

The first incident happened Friday at about 3:40 p.m. A man entered the Wells Fargo on West 42nd Street and passed a note to the teller demanding money, police said.


According to authorities, the teller would not give up any money, and the man ended up fleeing.

About 50 minutes later, police said a man entered a Citibank at 2560 Broadway — about three miles north from the first bank.

NYPD officials say the man demanded money via a note, but the teller again did not comply, and the man fled.

Police released multiple photos of the person they're seeking for question in connection to the incidents.
