At about 3 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, the suspects entered a residential building located in the vicinity of Sanford Avenue and College Point Boulevard in Flushing by breaking the front door, authorities said.
Once inside the building, the suspect punched and choked a 70-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man then stole approximately $750 from them before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.
The victims sustained pain and bruising to the neck and head but refused medical attention on scene.
