NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was arrested after damaging seven parked cars with a hammer near his home in Queens on Monday, police said.
At around 7:30 p.m., 23-year-old Dorian Rivera, a resident of the block, allegedly ran down 97th Street in Corona after using a hammer to shatter car windows on 96th Street, according to police.
A video captured by a neighbor shows a man moving from car to car, breaking several windows while speaking, leaving shattered glass scattered across the neighborhood. He later raises his middle finger toward the person recording.
"We called right away, like, with the hammer going through the windows," Chris, a witness who saw it unfold, told 1010 WINS. "We were asking [police] to come fast, right away, because he was destroying like most of the cars."
Officers responded and arrested Rivera at his home, which is just a few houses down from where the vandalism occurred. He was charged with criminal mischief and seven counts of criminal mischief of property.

Records show Rivera has a prior arrest for resisting arrest just last month.
An investigation is ongoing.
