
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was arrested after a 29-year-old woman was stabbed to death at her Bronx apartment on Friday night, reportedly during a domestic dispute.
Kelvin Diaz, 31, was charged with homicide, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, an NYPD spokesman told the New York Post.
The woman, who has not been identified, was found unconscious by officers responding to a 911 call at a 14th-floor apartment building on Lafayette Avenue, near White Plains Road, in the Unionport section around 8:30 p.m.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
Police said Diaz was taken into custody at the scene. Police told the Daily News that he is the victim's longtime boyfriend.
Citizen App video shows a heavy emergency response outside the building.
An investigation into the stabbing is ongoing. Police reportedly recovered a knife at the apartment.
