UNIONDALE, N.Y. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A Brooklyn man was arrested Thursday morning for sending a Long Island library into lockdown over a threat to shoot workers, detectives said.

Officers responded to the Uniondale Library for a disturbance around 9:25 a.m. Thursday.

Upon arrival, it was determined that the Curtis Desir, 29, of Crown Heights, had stated he was going to shoot library employees.

No firearm was recovered and no injuries were reported.

Desir was charged with making a terroristic threat and two counts of menacing.

He will be arraigned on Friday.
