Man arrested for setting flags on fire at Port Authority Terminal’s 9/11 memorial

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 29-year-old man accused of setting two flags at a 9/11 memorial at the Port Authority Bus Terminal on fire over the weekend was arrested law enforcement sources told the Post.

Jeremias Venegas allegedly burned an American flag and a Port Authority World Trade Center Tribute flag at the north wing of the Manhattan terminal at around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, the report said.

Venegas was arrested Monday morning by Port Authority officers and charged with arson and criminal mischief, sources told the outlet.
