Man, 38, arrested for performing unlicensed medical procedures inside Queens home

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Queens man was arrested last week for performing medical procedures without a license, the NYPD announced Wednesday.

According to police, on March 28, Felipe Hoyos-Foronda, 38, performed a medical procedure on a 31-year-old woman inside his home on 35th Street in Astoria.

The procedure caused the victim serious injuries, officials said.

Hoyos-Foronda is facing assault and unauthorized practice of profession charges.
