NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police arrested a man Tuesday night in connection with the death of another man who was found with severe injuries at a Brooklyn subway station earlier that day.
Just after 3 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call at the Jay Street-MetroTech subway station where they found the victim unconscious. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition and later died.
Police said the victim was kicked in the head as many as 15 times near the turnstiles of the station and suffered severe head and body trauma, according to multiple reports.
Authorities have not released the victim's identity or details about what led to the incident. It is also unclear whether the two men knew each other. Charges against the suspect are pending.
