Man asks subway rider what time it is, snatches her phone on Brooklyn train: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is looking to identify a suspect who they said snatched a phone from a woman after asking her the time on a Brooklyn subway train this month.

At approximately 6:15 p.m., on Thursday, June 16, a 64-year-old woman was approached by the suspect on the southbound R train platform of the Pacific Street subway station in Downtown Brooklyn, police said.

According to officials, the suspect asked her for the time and then snatched her cellphone from her bag.

The suspect then fled the station.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.
