NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released surveillance footage Friday of a man accused of asking to use a woman's phone, then beating her up at a Bronx subway station earlier this week.
It happened at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Monday, June 9, inside the East 182nd-183rd Streets station in Fordham Heights, authorities said.
According to officials, a 49-year-old woman was walking in the mezzanine when the suspect approached her and requested to use her cell phone.
A dispute ensued, and the suspect kicked the woman then stole an unknown amount of cash and a cell phone from her pocket, cops said.
The suspect fled on foot to unknown parts.
