Man attacked with machete in the Bronx; suspects demand wallet, shirt – and 1 shoe

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) –  Police released a new photo on Thursday of one of the three unidentified suspects who hit a man in the head with a machete in the Bronx two weeks ago and robbed him of his wallet, shirt -- and one shoe.

The incident happened on Oct. 12, when the three suspects came up to a 20-year-old man at the train station on East 180 St. and Morris Park Ave.

Around 9:40 p.m, the suspects demanded that the victim give them all of his property.

The suspects forced the victim to give up his belongings, including his wallet, shirt, and one shoe.

One of the suspects hit the victim in the head with a machete and the group ran away southbound on Van Buren Street.

EMS transported the injured man to NYC Health + Hospital where he is currently reported to be in stable condition.
