NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released photos of a man who allegedly assaulted a female MTA worker at the Queensboro Plaza subway station after a dispute over a public restroom earlier this week, authorities said.
The incident occurred on Monday, Aug. 10, at approximately 12:10 p.m. on the mezzanine level of the station. According to police, the suspect attempted to use a public restroom that was actively being serviced by the 24-year-old on-duty MTA employee.
The encounter escalated into a verbal dispute when the suspect was denied access. During the argument, the man pushed the worker in the stomach and arm, causing her physical pain. The assailant then fled the location on foot to parts unknown.
EMS transported the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition.
