NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for four knife-wielding men accused of beating a man during a home invasion robbery in Queens last month.
Just after 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, four suspects entered an apartment building located in the vicinity of 96th Street and 57th Avenue in Corona, officials said.
Once inside the building, the suspects pushed into an apartment through an unlocked door and displayed knives and an imitation firearm to a 30-year-old man.
The suspects then proceeded to strike the victim and stole property from him including cash and a cellphone.
The group then exited the building, fleeing north on 96th Street on foot, entered a black BMW sedan, and continued to flee in the vehicle on 96th Street, heading towards 55th Avenue.
The victim sustained minor cuts and bruises about the body and refused medical treatment.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
