NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was kicked to the ground and beaten with a metal baseball bat in broad daylight on Park Avenue in Manhattan, police said Wednesday as they searched for two suspects in the attack.

The 48-year-old victim was in front of a residential building at 295 Park Ave. South in Gramercy around 11:40 a.m. on April 30 when he was assaulted, police said.


It’s unclear if he was in some sort of dispute with his attackers at the time. Video shows commotion on the sidewalk, with one of the suspects swinging the bat and pointing at someone off camera.

According to cops, one of the suspects kicked the victim to the ground and the other struck him over the head with the bat multiple times.

The victim suffered a laceration to the head and was transported by EMS to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
