NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police released images Friday of a man they say beat, strangled and sexually assaulted a woman during an attempted rape on a Brooklyn street early Thursday morning.
The 22-year-old woman was in the area of Herkimer Street and Saratoga Avenue in Ocean Hill around 2:15 a.m. when the man walked up and punched her in the face multiple times, police said.
He pushed her to the ground, strangled her and sexually assaulted her while trying to rape her, according to police. He then fled the area on foot.
The woman was transported to One Brooklyn Health, where she was in stable condition.
