The victim, 28-year-old Keyan Francis, was shot in the chest inside an apartment on the 14th floor of the Morris Houses on Washington Avenue near East 171st St., authorities said.

Officials said the argument started over a clogged and overflowing toilet.

A police source told the Daily News that there were several people hanging out in the apartment when one witness, could hear Francis and Machicote arguing “over a clogged and overflowing toilet,” from another room.

Francis was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
