NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged with raping a 15-year-old girl in the Bronx last week, according to the NYPD.
Casmine Aska is charged with first-degree rape in the Thursday night attack at 140 Bellamy Loop, a building in Co-Op City. He was walked out of the 45 Precinct by detectives on Saturday.
Aska was convicted of attempted murder for pushing a 9-year-old boy off the roof of a five-story Bronx apartment building after sexually assaulting him 12 years ago, officials said. He was incarcerated in 2017, according to state prison records, and released on parole after eight years on Jan. 30.
Aska is also charged with predatory sexual assault against a child, criminal possession of a weapon and acting in a manner injurious to a child. If convicted, Aska could be in prison for up to 25 years.
According to court records, he is scheduled for arraignment Sunday at Bronx Criminal Court.
