NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 24-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing another man to death at a skate park on the Lower East Side on Friday, the NYPD said.
William Rivera, who lives in Chinatown, was arrested and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police said Tuesday.
Officers responding to a 911 call around 7:40 a.m. on Friday found a 27-year-old man inside Coleman Skate Park, at Monroe and Pike streets, with several stab wounds, the NYPD said.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Police have yet to release the man's name. An investigation is ongoing.
Rivera's attorney information wasn't immediately available Tuesday.
